dummy

The area surrounding the former JR Mashike Station is home to a wide array of historical buildings that were built between the 1880s and the 1930s. While in town, visitors can stop by Kunimare Sake Brewery, the northernmost brewery in Japan, and Marunoichi Honmake, a former merchant house that was constructed in 1902. The Tomitaya Inn, a three-story wooden building constructed in 1933, and Mashike Elementary School, are other points of interest rich in history. Visitors to the area can get a feel for what it used to look like at the turn of the 20th century.
