The Morning Cafe Tour (reservation required), operated by Adventure Base SIRI, will allow you to enjoy some coffee while looking out over the morning scenery of Lake Akan, in the most scenic spot from which to see Lake Akan and Mount Oakan. This wintery activity offers a number of sights, including the sunset rising over the dynamic winter landscape, and a phenomenon known as ice bubbles, in which the gas that bubbles from the bottom of the lake look like ice mushrooms. Make sure to dress warmly, as the temperature can get down to about -20 degrees Celsius.
