Held from late January to February

The Otofuke Tokachigawa Hakucho Festival takes place at Tokachigaoka Park during late January and February, marking the passing of the swans through the region. This festival offers visitors a unique winter landscape dotted in colorful lights (about 600 are installed in total!) and backed by festive music. Originally built as tiny agricultural insulation tents, the colorful sairinka are lit, and rhythmic music is played throughout the park. Attractions are in tune with the season, including snow rafting, making frozen soap bubbles as well as interactive light installations. After a chilly winter walk past the dozens of festive sairinka, the nearby hot spring baths are a wonderful place to warm up and drift off into a land of imagination.
