Designated a national historic site, the Eniwa Karimba Remains date back over 4000 years. This Late Jomon period site contains a variety of significant discoveries, including numerous lacquered accessories and beads, representing some of the most well-preserved in Japan. In addition to marvelling at the beautiful craftsmanship of these artifacts, visitors can gain some insight into the lives of Hokkaido’s ancient inhabitants.
