Furano Kan Kan Mura: A Snowy Wonderland of Fun

Furano is well-known for its beautiful fields of lavender during the summer, but that doesn’t mean winter isn’t worth a visit as well. From late December until early March, Furano holds a snowy celebration to highlight the magic of winter. At the Furano Kan Kan Mura, snow sculptures line the town while crisp white snowy paths are magically illuminated. Visitors can enjoy activities like dog sledding and snow tubing, which are a great way to have fun and keep warm. For those that want to indulge in something sweet or savory, they can relax in the Snow Café, which is outfitted with chairs, tables, and a bar made entirely out of snow.
