Get Up Close and Personal with the Dynamic Horse Races of the Hidaka Region

The Monbetsu Racecourse is a horse racing track that hosts the “Hokkaido Horse Race”, a local horse race held from April to November. Come and discover the adrenaline of watching the speed of these proud creatures! A former horse racing track that used to be the Monbetsu Training Center, this racecourse track was renovated and opened in 1997. You can take-in the excitement of the race from the white-colored stands, then taste the original Tonekko Jingisukan (grilled mutton BBQ) (reservation required), cooked in a bucket pan and served at the Racecourse itself!
