Rokkatei, established in 1993, is the leading confectionery manufacturer in Hokkaido, with branches all over the prefecture. The main branch in Sapporo is only a 5-minute stroll from JR Sapporo Station. The second-floor cafe has a range of top-selling sweets and pastries from buttery ice cream sandwiches to homemade white chocolate inspired by the 1968 recipe used to make the first white chocolate for sale in Japan. Rokkatei Sapporo also has its own exclusive specialty – a butter and raisin biscuit sandwich – which is not to be missed.
