The Hakodate Nanae Gondola offers an incredible view of the surrounding area and is the longest in Japan at over three kilometers. On a clear day, you can see Onuma Park, the nearby Mount Komagatake, and even Mount Yotei and the Niseko Mountain range in the distance. The three decks along the walkway and the promenade at the top offer a great high-altitude walk in the fresh mountain air. Each season offers something special. The Spring brings with it a sea of clouds while the Summer greenery is lush and magnificent. Then, the flaming red leaves of Autumn are followed by the delicate rime frosts of Winter. It truly is a marvel to look at in all four seasons! A free shuttle bus leaves from either Onuma station or the Shin Hakodate Hokuto Station, so make this Gondola a must-see on your Hokkaido trip.
