After passing through the traditional Japanese gate, you will find Hakodate Ekimae Yokocho to the right. This space emulates a traditional yokocho alleyway, popular places to find traditional fare. Replete with restaurants, izakaya pubs, and shops offering souvenirs and desserts, Ekimae Yokocho gives you can the chance to soak up the atmosphere of mid-20th century Japan while enjoying local Hakodate food.
