dummy

Held from late April to early May

Welcome to Hokuto, a Southern Hokkaido city blessed with many famous cherry blossom spots. From late April to early May, come and explore the Sakura Festival with beautiful sights, such as Hokiji Temple, where one of the weeping cherry trees is 300 years old. During the festival period, the city sets up charming illuminations to display the beauty of these pink blossoms at night. Check out the dazzling lights on the weeping cherries of Hokiji Temple, the rows upon rows of blossoming trees lining the Ono River, and the cherry blossom tunnel at the Hekirichi Jinya Remains. The weeping cherries at Hokiji, in particular, are quite the sight to behold, with their long 12-meter branches bowing gracefully under the weight of the mountains of pink blossoms.
