Make Your Own Noodles at Shintoku Soba no Yakata – HOKKAIDO LOVE!
dummy

Ever wondered how noodles are made? Well, you can find out at Shintoku Soba no Yakata, a workshop in Kamikawa where soba noodles, made from buckwheat, are the order of the day. Using freshly ground soba flour, you will make these delicious noodles from start to finish, under the tutelage of a professional instructor. The instructors can provide support for guests of all kinds, from children and first-time soba makers to seasoned cooks. The workshop takes about one hour, during which each participant will make 500g of noodles (approximately five portions). You can taste-test a portion on the day, and bring the remaining soba noodles home if you’re so inclined. For the freshest soba, late September to late October is recommended, when Hokkaido buckwheat is typically harvested. (Please note: reservations are required three days in advance.)
