True Sapporites know that the Maruyama Park area is home to some of the coolest spots in town. One of these gems is hidden away down an alley in a residential neighborhood: the retro café Morihico. The building the cafe occupies was repurposed from a 70-year-old wooden house, giving it a cozy feel and homey atmosphere. Patrons can lounge on the cafe’s antique furniture as they sip on specialty coffee or pass the time with friends. During the winter months, a wood-stove keeps visitors warm as they enjoy hot drinks and mouth-watering desserts from the cafe’s sister pâtisserie store, Marie Pierre.
