Sapporo Beer Museum: Discover and Taste-Test Japan’s Most Famous Beer – HOKKAIDO LOVE!
dummy

Sapporo Beer has always been a driving force in Japan’s beer industry. This 19th-century brick building is filled with exhibits of items from throughout Sapporo Beer’s history and is the only history museum dedicated to beer in the country! Take the premium tour for a small additional cost and see a video in a 6K theater. While at the museum, sample Kaitakushi beer from the Kaitakushi brewery where Sapporo beer was first brewed in 1876, which continues to produce its namesake beer. This museum also has no shortage of restaurants: make sure you try the local Hokkaido specialty, jingisukan (from “Genghis Khan”), a dish consisting of grain-fed lamb grilled on a hot plate at your table at the beer hall, “Garden Grill.”
