Shinsen-numa Marsh: Where Mountains, Water, and Sky Meet

Of the numerous marshes scattered around the Niseko mountains, Shinsen-numa Marsh is said to be the most beautiful. Its name means “mystical mars” in Japanese and folklore says that Gods and forest hermits live here. Niseko’s glorious changing seasons reflected on the water’s surface alone is certainly worth a visit. The calm atmosphere and cool mountain air lead to a sense of entering a sacred world.
