If you make your way to Shiretoko National Park, you will be rewarded with majestic landscapes dotted with natural wonders, ancient volcanoes, pristine lakes, and primeval forests. If you are lucky, you can also catch a glimpse of the abundance of wildlife, including whales, deer, and eagles. The hiking trails around the stunning Shiretoko Five Lakes are also suitable for all abilities. Start your visit to the Nature Center to get all the information you need to make the most of this World Heritage Site, as well as stop off in the only restaurant in the Park. Follow the Center’s helpful advice about navigating the area and be sure not to miss the 2-kilometer trail to the glorious Furepe Falls and sea cliffs.
