Soak Up Local Culture at the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art

The Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, located in the center of Sapporo, is one of the top art centers in Hokkaido with a permanent collection of over 5,000 pieces. The collection largely showcases the works of Hokkaido-associated painters and sculptors: Tamako Kataoka, Eien Iwahashi, Kinjiro Kida, and Nissho Kanda. But the museum is also internationally renowned for its collection of amazing glassworks. There are various special exhibitions held every 1-2 months, displaying works from various local and international artists across a broad spectrum of creative disciplines.
