Visit the Garinko Station Sea Ice Observation Tower

The Sea Ice Observation Tower is the world’s first underwater drift ice observatory. From the observatory, visitors can see all kinds of sea creatures in their natural habitat all year round. There is a kiosk on the first floor, a film hall on the second floor, and a 360-degree observation lounge on the third floor where guests can see as far as the Shiretoko Mountains. There is also an outdoor balcony cafe.
