Built by the famed master fisherman Yoichi with the wealth he amassed in the herring trade, the Ginrinsou Overnight Onsen has since become a Designated Historic Landmark of Otaru City. First constructed in 1873, then moved to its present location in 1938, this traditional Japanese inn at the top of Cape Hiraiso offers guests a sweeping view of Ishikari Bay.
