1 Shirogane Blue Pond Illumination (Biei, Kamikawa)
The “Blue Pond” of Shirogane, Biei, which is a sightseeing spot that is well-known across Japan, will be illuminated magically. The “Shirahige Waterfalls,” which are located above the Blue Pond, will also have a light show that you shouldn’t miss!

2 60th Asahikawa Winter Festival
The Asahikawa Winter Festival rivals the Sapporo Snow Festival as one of Hokkaido’s biggest winter events. Its
greatest attraction is the enormous size of its snow sculptures and it received the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest snow structure in 1994. In addition to a range of events, this festival is packed with other highlights, including the “Winter Marche,” where you can sample all kinds of gourmet delights.

3 44th Sounkyo Onsen Ice Fall Festival
“Sounkyo Onsen Ice Fall Festival” is a leading winter festival in Hokkaido. This 10,000m2 venue, set in the Ishikari River riverbed, is home to around 30 ice sculptures of various sizes and other highlights include an approx. 13m high observation deck, slide, and the Ice Shrine. The awe-inspiring ice sculptures have been carved over a period of three months and make use of the natural features of this deep valley nestled at the foot of these snowy mountains! Shining blue in the light of day, these sculptures are lit up in seven colors to create a magical space at night.
