A celebration of artistic excellence
Sumio Goto was an acknowledged master of Nihon-ga, Japanese style paintings made with naturally derived pigments. The museum features permanent exhibitions of his major works and original sketches, many of which were inspired by the scenic beauty of Hokkaido and fill entire walls. After experiencing the works, head upstairs to the restaurant for an incredible view of the Tokachidake Mountain Range.
