Archaeology meets modern history
The Tokachi region experienced more rapid advancements than other regions in Hokkaido thanks to the use of horses in agriculture and the cultivation of beans and other pulses. Visit this museum to see a huge range of interesting artefacts, from prehistoric fossils and Jomon-era pottery to exhibits on local agriculture, farming, and the culture of the indigenous Ainu people.
