The Cuisine of the Ainu People, in the Heart of Sapporo

This restaurant, born through a collaboration with the National Ainu Museum’s Ruika Project, gives you the rare opportunity to experience Ainu cuisine and culture in the heart of Susukino. One of the private rooms has been designed to recreate a traditional Ainu home called a “chise” where you can enjoy traditional Ainu cuisine. Dishes include “ohaw” (soup), citatap (pounded salmon), yuk (sika deer) and more, served around the chise’s fireplace. The Ainu cuisine experience requires a reservation.
