Michi-no-Eki Assabu – A Michi-no-Eki where you can buy fresh vegetables

Assabu Town, which bases its industry on forestry, is located on the Sea-of-Japan side of the Oshima Peninsula, jutting out from the southwestern part of Hokkaido Prefecture. Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) Assabu sells fresh vegetables harvested in the nearby area, like the potato brand Assabu May Queen, which was first produced in Assabu Town, and corn, etc., as well as agricultural products including sweet potato shochu, tea, and snacks/confectionery. Their soft serve is also popular.
